"Daddys are a girls best friend"

Tonight was the 13th Annual Father Daughter Ball held by one of our local churches. Chris, Hannah, and Payton started out the night with dinner at Tony Roma's ( the girls LOVE their mac and cheese!). Then they were off to dance the night away. I asked the girls what their favorite part of the night was and they both said "dancing with daddy". From what I hear Payton danced the majority of the night on daddy's shoulders. When they all arrived at home Payton was sleeping in the van and Hannah was so tired she crawled up the stairs. As I was putting their jammies on Payton said "Can we go to the Father Daughter Ball tomorrow". Daddy and his two princess' had the time of their lives. :) I just love hearing about their special night. They are all eagerly waiting for next year.

Yummy Cookies !!

Hannah and Payton spent some time in the kitchen with mommy on Sunday. Hannah bought herself an Easy Bake Oven with her valentine money and now she can't stay out of the kitchen! She and her sister have baked sugar cookies and let me tell you they were GREAT!! :) (so good you could only stand to have one I'm sure you know what I mean if you have ever tasted easy bake oven products before) Hannah has informed us that she is incharge of baking all the birthday cakes from now on LOL.

Ballet anyone!!

A few days ago I was digging in a old box of Hannah's clothes (amazed how quickly she has grown) and stumbled across her old ballet outfit. Immediately Payton wanted to wear it , she started to do ballet moves across the kitchen floor with her best buddy Baylee. I just love watching these two play pretend together when I asked who they were dancing for they said "Our Daddies" , I know how important Daddies are to little girls :) .

Our visit with Nanny

Hannah and Payton had a visitor this week yes it was Nanny. We enjoyed our visit so much we were able to set up the Christmas tree, go to the movies and build a gingerbread house (FUN FUN FUN). Hannah had so much fun reading and just spending time with Nanny. Payton always has a good time doing puzzles and playing with Nanny she also likes to make Nanny smell her stinky feet (LOL) what a silly girl she is.

Daddy's Vacation

Chris was on vacation last week and he was able to complete his honey do list. Paint paint and more paint . We decided to change some color around the house and spruce things up a bit. The living room down stairs was dark green and after 3 coats of primer now its cottage cream (LOVE IT) and the TV room down stairs was dark burgundy and after 3 coats of primer now its meadow hills (sage green). Thanks honey the rooms look great I had no idea Chris was such a good painter.

"Look at the Lights"

This year is the first year Payton really remembers what having lights on the house really means, No we are not like the Griswold's however very close. Her first reaction was priceless all she could say was "Look at the Lights I can't believe it ". We spent all day putting up the lights and boy was that a project (Thanks Honey they look GREAT!!). I'm so excited about the holidays I love this time of year. Hannah was floating on cloud 9 because she was asked to memorize a verse for our church Christmas eve service I think she will do great I just hope she isn't too shy we will have to work on that .
